Take a close up look at what the new XBox One
controller looks like from the inside out. Microsoft boasts that over 40 brand
spanking new improvements have been made to the new controller including a
screw less design, Battery hump is gone(hallelujah!!!) The new battery is
thinner so there is no hump on the bottom of the controller. The D pad has
received a significant upgrade, in other words a "Nintendo + sign" D Pad was added. The joysticks are slightly smaller but now
have a deeper divot at the top so thumbs should stay in place a lot easier and
not go flying off the joystick during a heated gameplay session. Impulse
triggers, so Microsoft has added smaller rumble motors to the left
and right triggers, I see how this could create a more immersive experience in
racing games and shooters for example. As mentioned in the video it would be
pretty cool to feel your ABS kicking in on your brake trigger under heavy
braking in a racing game but will this add a new level of immersion than the
standard dual rumble setup offers? There is now an IR blaster located on the
forward face (near the wireless sync button) that communicates with Kinect 2. This can allows the
system to determine who is holding the controller. Improved face button layout
and design. Gotta say I like the design, looks sleek and should be very
comfortable during long gaming sessions. No mention of PC support yet but there
is no doubt that it will, after all, the XboxOne demos at E3 were powered by
PCs........just saying.
